Gerald Lee “Jerry” Collins, son of Anna Maybell Smith, born September 24, 1944. He, too, has blue eyes and medium brown hair. He is probably six feet tall. In 1964, he graduated from Bethel Junior
College, at Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He
then became employed as a laboratory technician by the United Nuclear Company
at Hemetite, Missouri. The company was
under government contract for the purification of uranium. Some time later he resigned this position to
enroll at Murray State University (recently made a university); where he received
his degree in due time. He has since
been teaching at Morganfield, Kentucky, in the Union County School System.
On March 17, 1972, Jerry married Phyllis (Bolds) Moore (born January
14, 1949, at Uniontown, Kentucky), daughter of Norman E. and Marguerite
(Clements) Bolds. Phyllis has a
son, Anthony Brent Moore (born March 31, 1969) by an earlier marriage.
