Ira Bradford Smith, son of ElsberrySmith, born May 5, 1852; died January 10, 1939, and is buried in the Smith
Cemetery, Posey County. On December 25,
1888, in Evansville, Indiana, Ira married Anna Grace Wiltshire, born September 5, 1867, in Evansville. She died
November 27, 1930. Anna Grace's parents
were Pembroke Somerset Wiltshire and Josephine
Bonepart Connett; she was a school teacher at the time of their marriage. Ira Bradford Smith was a cabinet maker and
farmer. At his death, he owned part of
the original tract of land "taken up" by George R. Smith when he went to
Indiana in 1811. Ira B. and Anna Grace
Smith became the parents of these children:
Cora Loretta Smith, born October 2, 1889
A son who died at birth, June 3, 1900
